I'm afraid I don't use either enough to warrant a grater.

Mace?
Long ago when Greg did Sat Kitchen, I saw a so-simple baked fish recipe.
Can't remember who the chef was.
Baked whole fish (probably bream or bass).
Cream & mace.

It was actually very pleasant. I should make it again now that you've reminded me of it, Sloe.

I bought my nutmeg grinder centuries ago from a large cookshop in Convent garden - it's small, holds just the one nutmeg & made of wood with the handle turn at the top - still going strong after all these years - wouldn't be without it.

Axel has a tube, with the grater on the side and a separate compartment for the nuts on top. You just take out a nut, grate and it falls down the tube (I had a similar one, but gave it away when I moved in with him).

Uschi, I had one of those that I bought at Tuebingen Weihnachtsmarkt in 1984!

That is quite a while ago ... I think I was in Tübingen in 82, but in summer. Lovely town ...

I tried out a breakfast loaf calling for ground mace, and duly grated it into the flour ... I think I will go back to cinnamon for breakfast oaves.

I have a little nutmeg grater a bit like a miniature cheese grater - does the job for me :thumbsup

Me too. My grandson laughs when he sees me using it and says it's a dolls house cheese grater!

It seems like only yesterday that your grandson was born MtM, but I’m guessing he is probably about five now? How time flies.

It really does, my first guess was that he would be three, but then I thought he must be older……….it’s frightening how fast life goes past.
