I’m pretty sure I’ve had a carbonara pizza a few times before, possibly at Pizza Express. I used to like their white pizza topped with a baked egg and asparagus too.

I've got an Alsace recipe book (thin one from the tourist office type of thing) somewhere.
I'll have a look and see if Felicity is spot on or not).

The only difference between Felicity's recipe and my recipe - on a postcard bought in Colmar, Alsace - is that the recipe I've got uses a yeasted dough. The quantities are slightly different, and the bacon is in lardons, not rashers, but all the ingredients are the same.

I am definitely going to try Flammkuchen, I cannot get creme fraiche so will try one of the Philadelphia type cheeses instead.
