I was just playing bird of prey sounds and Lily responded the same way she does to whistling. Purred, rolled over coquetishly but looked a bit disconcerted. I had always thought this was to do with kittens...
I've asked daughter ... I think probably buzzard, if not Red Kite ... I know buzzards fly high, but Red kites circle ..

Hello, rather chilly here too, and it's getting colder.
Just picked up a new watering can from Screwfix, click and collect. The old galvanised one is leaking. I don't like looking at plastic outdoor watering cans and since we don't have a shed there's nowhere to hide it! We'll see how long this one lasts! It also has a removeable rose, unlike the old one.
Enjoy your hot cross buns! I have some in the freezer I'm going to get out

Yay ... we got there !! I’ve started Volume 6 for us
it’s here ... viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4964&p=121588#p121588
I’ll ask the Mods to lock this and it’ll eventually disappear into the ether ...

I think it might be a red kite? Bad photo, enlarged, and exposure increased in LR:

that's not a red kite... red kite has a very distinctive forked tail and the plumage is much more red than that. I think that is a buzzard ..
I have sent daughter a shot of your photo, but she can't get whatsApp while she's at work ..

Um .... what’re you lot doing here ... we’ve moved on to here
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4964&view=unread#unread
You’ll get left behind
PS ...I’m pretty sure that’s a buzzard ... we see them here quite often.

oh ok. I thought it might be the right markings, but it's hard to tell when the photo is so poor. I shall eagerly await her verdict
It was doing very wide circuits.
Sorry Suffs. Poor multi-tasking again...
