Return of Wokman

Postby Wokman » Sat Feb 06, 2021 2:26 pm

Hi everyone,
It's been a long while since I was here, but I see familiar names and it's great to know that a lot of people are still around. I've picked up some new recipes on my travels that I will be sharing of course.
I'm also thinking about starting up my blog again but that might take a while yet. Time for me to try and catch up on some of the posts on here

Hi from me too. Looking forward to 'travels with my wok'.

I was telling hub we all go back to the BBC food board (RIP)

Who was the guy in Toronto? And somebody Mouse, who sadly publisher 'her' recipes for chutney, but were in a Thane Prince (I think) book.
And sadly, those who are no longer with us

I think you mean Andrew aka Googlemeister in Toronto, but formerly of Cornwall, he and I are still FB friends, he has recently retired from his job in hospitality at Toronto airport

Don’t know about the chutney

There are a few people still around the London foodie and blog scene, some I catch glimpses of via Kavey, who is at the other end of Wales near Abergavenny

Wasn't it Rock The Mouse who published the chutney recipes?

Not 100% sure but I think it was. Maybe it's in the old forum archives.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome back messages.

No, Ian has been quiet for a long time, but his wife occasionally posts on FB and they seem to be chugging along

They still rent out their gîte, when not locked down
