Sloe
It was 3 weeks between them. They are saying that people who have
had Covid are having a stronger reaction to the vaccine. I had it in July.

Re: Wild about Chatter ... Vol. 4
Thanks for clarifying re the financial aspect of children's meals, Sue. That all makes sense.
I was watching something last night which suggested that the current situation was the most serious since WWII and that welfare reform could be as revolutionary afterwards as it was then.It will be interesting to see what does happen. So many grass root things could do with a tweak.
Hope you're feeling better now Mimi, we have so much still to learn about the vaccinations but nice to have had yours, especially with your working environment.

Re: Wild about Chatter ... Vol. 4
I was listening to R5 live this morning, at about 5 30 am UK time, they were talking to a fruit and veg supplier from Norfolk. He said that he had been supplying meal boxes locally at £20 per head, including milk and eggs. I got the impression that he did not like dealing with the major suppliers for financial reasons, the big boys demand a premium from him
It has been a horrible day here, cold and wet, no sign of any snow on the mountains.

A lot of producers grumble that the supermarkets screw them down on prices. I think Wetherspoons apply a similar approach to the reselling of drinks. Essentially they can guarantee sales volume but at poor margins. It's the age old 'Devil & Long Spoon' argument.
I suppose if, as a producer, you have got excellent cost control it's a workable route but you're the one taking the risk.

Weathespoons can lump it in my opinion.
Re: Wild about Chatter ... Vol. 4
Thank you EM I am feeling better. I was very happy to be in the first phase of people vaccinated.
It at least reduces the risk of getting very ill if you are exposed.

Absolutely Sloe Gin ... thanks for sharing ... I’ve shared it too.
Good for them ... hope it gets lots of attention.

I was watching Gogglebox the other day, and they showed clips of Fanny Craddock.
OMG she could almost pass for a man in drag!
And I thought Rosemary Shraeger was bossy!

Good Morning Campers, it was a sunny morning when I rolled up the blind, the cloud thickened up within twenty minutes, it is going to rain soon.

Morning all!
. A rainy day.
Teacher duties today. After last week's hurriedly put together exercises the school has put together a weekly timetable with some live classes included, one of which is today. The Zoom-like system doesn't always work on older laptops like mine so we'll be using a glitzy tablet. I have never used a tablet before so hope the techie 5 year old knows all about it. Modern maths looks a bit of a mystery too ... I'll learn something at least.

I adore Rosemary Shrager. Couldn’t bear her when she first appeared but having read about her and seen her on the Marigold Hotel series I completely changed my opinion. She is a star. Not keen on Fanny though.

Morning all. Got up at 4.30 to watch England in the Test Match v Sri Lanka. So lovely to see live sport again. Also arranged for a 5.30 Ocado delivery so my work is done for the day. (I don’t seem to have ordered very well but Sofi the cat probably has enough food for the rest of the year).

Morning campers. Woke up to a layer of the white stuff this morning and I think it’s still snowing but it’s too dark to see properly. Edit: Yep, it’s still snowing and quite heavily although it’s not the big snowflakes that we had last time
Sainsbury’s delivery due today, a couple of things missing but nothing that I can’t do without. They were on my no substitute list as I didn’t like the substitutions they sent the last time. Apart from the delivery I’ve got nothing else planned but then again I can’t remember the last time I had planned something for the day
Have a good day folks.
Cheers

Good morning all
Wet and cold here today, but it isn’t actually raining at the moment.
I have a knitting project to sew up and finish today ... a woolly jumper for OH ... then there’ll be decisions to make about the next project ... plenty of oddments in my stash to make some more woolly hats while I decide.
Sounds like ‘interesting’ cricket Pepper.
Have fun EM

Good morning.
Hmmm. Supermarket visit may be put off. We have snow. Again. And it’s coming down thick and fast so no way am I going out in it. We can probably last a little while longer with supplies already in, though I may have to trudge to the garage for some milk eventually. Took the last carton out of the freezer yesterday.
Any other plans I may have had for the day (!) will also need to be changed. I might do an exercise class for the first time in ages if a walk isn’t do-able.
Enjoy your day.
