I got a slew of odd posts when I posted a selfie on Instagram, comments such as “so beautiful” are not what you expect appended to a picture of a retired woman in a yellow hard hat on a building site  . Plus of course the battalion of US army veterans wanting to send personal messages…

Oh god the messages I’ve received ... I’ve often idly wondered what the success rate is of these people .

I do think there needs to be more of a responsibility and self monitoring of social media . I think teenage girls especially with all the accompanying insecurities could find social media a dangerous place . I was in my early twenties when I first got FB but I think it could have been quite worrying if I’d got it in my teenage years .

Returning to food I’m strangely enjoying Felicity Cloakes daily mince pie reviews , which is odd as I don’t like mince pies !!

I discovered this method of preparing tofu today from this blog: https://cookieandkate.com/how-to-make-c ... aked-tofu/

It really worked!
I thought I'd have a look and see what else was on there!

Thanks for the link KeenCook2. I keep forgetting that I have a block of firm tofu in the cupboard! I'll give it a try.
