Not here it ain´t.
We´ve got a rainy season ( when it rains almost every day) which runs from May until December. Then there´s a dry season from December through to May.
The average temperature is about 25°C, all year round.
The most popular programmes here are (a) soaps and (b) politics.
YAWN!

Goodwill And Custard!!!!

It's Day 6!

So ........

WHAT'S BEHIND THE DOOR TODAY???

*opens door*

Did You Know that the first BBC radio presenter with a regional accent was hired during World War II to make it harder for the Germans to produce fake news bulletins?

His name was Wilfred Pickles, a Yorkshireman from Halifax. He went on to have success in films and TV, and received an OBE foe services to broadcasting.

Wasn't that fascinating!

'Till next time!

I remember (just) his later career as a quiz show host on Take it From Here, people used to pick up his catchphrases an I had a couple of friends who did a skit based on them, some time after the series ended

He also did "Workers Playtime"

I didn't recognise the intro - but when I got to the main theme, yes I remembered it well

The odd thing was it, was played at tea break time ;)

Along with Berceuse from Faure's Dolly Suite (the tune at the end of Listen with Mother), that tune is one of my most evocative childhood memories. At my grandmother's, the tea tray would be brought in and the wireless switched on and warmed up for Mrs Dale's Diary and we'd always catch that tune just beforehand. It makes me think of Lapsang Souchong, jaffa cakes and happy days long ago.

1 3/4 hours?
That tells me that:
1) Mrs B never visited Italy
2) She probably had no teeth ( pastaal dente vs pasta sin dente
3) She probably cooked her sprouts for 6 months, instead of the customary 3.
