In a year when going to the panto is off the cards it’s great to come on this thread and see top notch panto level puns and bad jokes.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.........

Thank you Grassy and all.

That must be awesome, been up Skiddy a few times, remember Cat Bells in snow, Ann slipped & cracked her head on a rock, needed stiches, so close to air ambulance, but managed to get her down o/k.

Lordy Hicky!! Glad she wasn't too badly hurt....

Skiddaw is my very favourite fell (indeed, Skiddaw is my usual forum name but for some reason, Wildfood didn't like it). Have been up Skiddaw many a time (and Catbells :D ). Love the Caldbeck fells Cherrytree. That whole back o' Skiddaw area is wonderful I think. Mr S and I were walking there just a few days ago.

Snow on Blencathra, Loadpot Hill and the Pennines too....

(For Scullion) . Skiddaw - pronounced Skidder is on of England’s highest mountains at 3054 ft. When I can see Skiddaw on our way home I know I’m nearly there. Our gorgeous water comes from the Back o’ Skiddaw.

The other thing to know about Skiddaw is that if cloud is sitting on the top I'm almost certainly up there, waiting for it to clear. If the cloud has lifted I've very recently given up and left the summit....

Agree & you can only get so wet, spent many wonderful holidays in the lakes, I have a lovely picture of my old dog on top of the Old Man of Coniston in winter, completely iced up on one side absolutely loving it.

Goodwill And Custard!!!!!!

It's Day 3!

So .......

WHAT'S BEHIND THE DOOR TODAY?

Did You Know that in the First World War, actor Basil Rathbone, yes, THAT one, led covert missions disguised as a tree?

I wonder what Sherlock Holmes would have made of that?

'Till next time!
