The difference in cost of living in the home countries of the pickers is the big thing. Bro said a few years ago they had a regular team from Lithuania ... newly qualified doctors .., they came to work for him in Suffolk for three seasons ... in that time they each earned enough to pay a substantial deposit on a house, so that they could then afford to pay a mortgage from their junior doctor salaries and continue their training in their chosen specialisms.
