Re: Wildfood campsite
My condolences, KC2, that must have been an odd experience.
Very cool, odd weather here, it plays havoc with menu planning. However we will have a baked apricot dish as planned, whatever the weather.
At long last Veg boxes are being introduced into Cyprus. A young man over at Ayia Varvara is aiming to start a business, that area is a centre of market gardening, not to mention field of peanuts.

Funerals must be so hard at the moment, even harder than normal. Sorry for your loss KC2.
I can't imagine what we'd all be doing without our technology at the moment. It makes all the difference.

Re: Wildfood campsite
Please accept my condolences as well KC2. The inability to pay last respects really is one of the sadder aspects of these times.
My cousin was cremated on Wednesday with no family or friends present. I lit a candle.
I hadn't realised the rules regarding burials and was shocked to hear of one where the 10 attendees had a service without the coffin present and had to wait inside the church whilst the deceased was buried before they were allowed to the graveside. That must be very hard too.
There will be many comforting memorial gatherings when people can mix again.

Smitch - is your water supplier United Utilities? I've just had an email from them telling me how well they're doing keeping everyone supplied with water and asking people to report leaks so they can fix them!

We had that email too! Also seen adverts saying the same thing on FB. I couldn’t resist commenting on the ad that appeared in my newsfeed. We’re no nearer to a resolution

KC2, sorry for your loss (and you too EM).
We had a Skype conversation with my best friend last weekend. She too had very recently 'attended' a streamed funeral and like you KC2 she found it a very weird experience.

Food, felines and fells (in no particular order)

I usually find a recorded delivery letter addressed to the CEO’s office asking for a copy of their Complaints Procedure and how to contact Ofwat gets a swift resolution to similar problems.

Thank you all for your lovely posts, it's so good to read them. EM
I gather that the 4 mins we missed at the beginning was the coffin being brought in with Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate - by the time we joined it was his Lacrimosa from the Requiem. We'll be able to see it in full when it goes online in 3 days.

Today we should have been at our grandson's wedding. Instead, I spent the afternoon fixing the plumbing and dismantling the toilet, which has problems flushing. Bit of a change of venue...

KC2, I think it will be rather nice to be able to watch again in less fraught circumstances .
Thank you all for the comments re my cousin (my mother's cousin actually but closer in age to me). I did mention his passing recently and didn't mean to draw attention away from those with fresh sadnesses today.
Oh aero, another situation so sad for those affected (the postponed wedding I mean of course!). I'm sure your excellent skills have sorted out the plumbing!

Good Morning Campers, at last the wind has died down.
All those postponed weddings, local weddings are going ahead, a congregation of up to 10 persons is permitted. The reception will be held later in the year. Writing this makes me realise that I have missed following the catering vans up the hill.

Good Morning campers. KC2 and EM and anyone else who needs one we are in very sad times now and we have no idea for how long or if indeed it will ever return to what we know as normal. Let's hope we get some "normal" soon.
