Good Morning Campers, my Mother once had a Mini that grew moss around the window seals.

This house is a football free zone. When I was ward sistering there was a major football competition, possibly a World Cup
The ward had two day rooms, I made one a football free zone, basically so that the ladies could watch what they wanted. A surprising number of men joined them.

Morning all. Looks as though it’s going to be a nice day.

Do you wake up some mornings with your head spinning? We had a swimmers coffee meet yesterday at the gym in preparation for a possible swim in Saturday, if we can book a slot. One of the girls who is a psychotherapist and ought to know better, gave us a lecture on how Covid is a worldwide plot and doesn’t actually exist, that vaccinations are toxic and that she will not be wearing a mask anytime soon! :o :o :o We don’t like her much so didn’t argue . . .

In other news there a nice article in The Guardian today about lockdown hobbies. I had great ideas but didn’t really get going although I guess there is still time.

Two of my offspring live in Abbots Langley, just North of Watford and I really enjoyed the Covid snake the village made which has now been cemented into the local park as a tribute to the NHS.

Good Morning campers. It's raining. My first car was a mini built by OH.

Morning all! :wave. Another lovely day. Hope it stays cool til midday though. I'm leading a walk with my ladies group (we are doing them every 2
weeks, socially distanced and restricted to 6).

I went to 'An Evening with Michael Portillo' at our local theatre a few years ago. He just stood and talked for an hour or so, very entertaining and flawless presentation, I was impressed. Still not my dream travelling companion though (not sure who would be).

Glad your tea shop is opening grassy. I had afternoon tea at a favourite shop this week (well, in the garden) and it really is one of life's delights.

Love the way that few seem to have done the things they thought they might over lockdown but have all just found their own comfortable level of entertainment (talking of course about those lucky enough to have been in a situation to do so).

As for the Covid opposers. I have a FB friend like that. She's someone I met through a mutual interest and we got on well. Ever since we first heard of Covid she has posted 'anti' things ad nauseum. I almost 'unfriended' her as it got so tiresome but I do like to read what is being put about and what other people believe. Some of the things they suggest are not impossible, just implausible but a good few people believe them.

Too poor in our house for us to have a car when I was young. There was much excitement however my Dad had a company van! I remember us kids taking cushions from living room to sit on in the back! I was always accompanied by a bucket as at that time I got seriously travel sick within half a mile of leaving home. Must admit it doesn't conjure up happy memories.

As an adult my first car was an old Fiat 500, I loved it! Felt like the bee's knees with the top rolled back.

I can remember entire families who were 1/3 socialist, 1/3 conservative and 1/3 liberal.

I think many individuals are like that, they just don't like to admit to two of the thirds... :D

Good morning all :D :mug:

I do wish the sensible intelligent silent majority (and I’m including myself here) didn’t keep falling back into the British stereotype of ignoring idiots ... it really wouldn’t take much to totally expose their stupidity for what it is ... but no, we keep quiet and ignore them rather than debate it ... and then they think we don’t have an answer. Why do we always take the easy way out and ‘avert our eyes‘ and fail to engage our brains? We should tell these people they’re complete loons.

I’ve been a bit slack about doing my exercises this week ... and I paid for it last night ... I just couldn’t get comfy in bed ... but the pain is in a new place ... more in/under my shoulder blade than in my shoulder ... so maybe that’s progress ...

Good Morning campers. Shopping day again and it's raining :? We went to the company that will be doing the worktops yesterday, so many choices of marble and granite, I am spoilt f or choice. I was still thinking about it whilst cooking dinner. We were having roast veg and pasta bake, i roasted all the leftover veggies, topped with cheese but forgot the pasta  I didn't tell OH, just piled his plate up
