I’ve heard of both the Hanseatic or Hamburg connection and blind scause before
But a bit surprised she doesn’t suggest a slow cooker or I Stanton Pot

does it differ from a stew in any way other than the name?

i saw a lobscouse on the tv once - it looked very similar to that produced by the cat on an off day.

We saw tins of labskaus when we were on holiday in Norway. I thought at the time it had historically influenced the Liverpool dish.
