Re: Felicity makes frying pan pizza
I think the poor girl´s run out of ideas. There´s no way I would wait 3-5 whole days for a bloomin pizza!!2 hours is my limit.
I also think her tomato sauce lacks garlic.

Er, leave in fridge for 3 days? What's that all about?
Having said that my breakfast pizza this morning was technically rested for about 10 hours, but only a minute of kneading this morning to finish it off, so with proving and prep took about 12 hours, although I was asleep for most of them!

I accept this isn't authentic, but the quickest way to make a pizza lunch is to use either naan bread or pitas - just smear tomato on them, and toppings of your choice ( mine are mushrooms, garlic, cheese, and fresh basil when cooked).

I use Dan Lepards no knead bread recipe...makes good pizzas, and the dough ready in about 90 mins.

Mark, the whole point of Felicity’s recipes is that she studies all the available ones and comes up with a short list which she then tries.
And she is very thorough.

I first made naan pizza after seeing Nigella do it in one of her books , “Nigella Express” I think . Very trashy , very inauthentic but very nice . I’ve also topped a tortilla wrap before with toppings , folded it into a calzone and baked

Yes she is. Sometimes to the point of nausea!

KKA
For sure, way too much info for me. As I was reading it, I expected a break down of what she fed her pussy (with a nod of the hat to are you being served). It turned me off. My thought is to get 3 or 4 or 5 recipes and pick the one I like the best on my own. Take a chance if you will. Or use bits and pieces from all of them and make a "hybrid" recipe.
Binky
When Mary Berry was on the military ship, they did a pita pizza....pita and tomato puree, hopefully some garlic and oregano in it , mozz cheese and pepperoni. As we say over here, cheap and dirty but effective ....
When I worked at the store, we had a contest to make a naan bread pizza, commercial naan bread. I used some olive oil, prosciutto and fresh mozzarella. won a prize as I recall. Ñot authentic but the judges seemed to like it.
