Re: Favourite drinks
I’ve only ever seen them in Waitrose or on Ocado Renee.
Re: Favourite drinks
Thanks. I do have a Waitrose about 8 miles away and call in occasionally when I get the Park'nRide into Preston.
Have you ever looked at the ingredients of Horlicks? The main ingredient, I seem to remember is wheat flour. I used to eat it by the spoonful when I was young and Bournvita too.

I was going to contradict you because I thought it was mostly skimmed milk powder, but you are right. Wheat, barley, sugar and chemicals.
Wheat 46% (Wheat Flour (contains Calcium Carbonate, Ferric Pyrophosphate, Niacin and Thiamin), Malted Wheat Flour), Malted Barley 26%, Dried Whey (Milk), Calcium Carbonate, Dried Skimmed Milk, Sugar, Palm Oil, Salt, Anti-Caking Agent (E551), Vitamin Mix (Vitamin C, Niacin, Vitamin E, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin B6, Riboflavin, Thiamin, Folic Acid, Vitamin A, Biotin, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12), Ferric Pyrophosphate, Zinc Oxide

Re: Favourite drinks
I remember Miduri from the early 80s when I frequented the Rembrandt Club in Liverpool. One of the (two) barmaids used to drink it with lemonade.
I seem to remember it's a melon flavoured liqueur.
The Rembrandt was super cool and opened at midnight.
I worked shifts, earlies started at 0600. Sometimes I went home, had a bath, put my uniform on and went to work.
Couldn't do it now.

Re: Favourite drinks
Yes, Miduri is melon flavoured and a bright green colour. That was a very early start!

I worked at Liverpool Airport.
First departure was 0700 every day.

Re: Favourite drinks
Yes, that looks a better spelling!
It is on offer in Asda at the moment, but I won't be re-creating the cocktail again!
