stuffed chicken wings
I seen 2 recipes in last year that stuff chicken wings.
both recipes remove the bones.
one recipe is stuffed with ground pork
the other mashed potatoes.
has any one got any other recipes for stuffed chicken wing.
I think having four type of stuffed chicken wings will work
good for the holidays in December.
I will post the two recipes I found later in this thread.

Re: stuffed chicken wings
The writer Shirley Conran famously said that life is too short to stuff a mushroom
I disagree, mushrooms being naturally cup shaped are rather easy to stuff, but I’m not sure I could be bothered to bone and stuff chicken wings, though I have boned and stuffed a whole chicken more than once, it’s not that difficult if you understand the anatomy

I agree Sue ... I quite enjoy boning a whole chicken ... as long as I’ve got my good boning knife ... I remember helping a friend who was trying to do it with a rather blunt Kitchen Devil
Boning chicken wings is much easier if they’re pre-cooked.

What is there to stuff?
Re: stuffed chicken wings
Surely by the time you’d debone it , you’d be left with scraps of meat . Doesn’t appeal to me at all . Chicken wings are delicious enough in a nice marinade and roasted . Wargarden you’d probably be better off asking on American food forums

Yep - bit like skinning a hummingbird.
Re: stuffed chicken wings
Wargarden, how about waiting till you've tried them before posting them, otherwise there doesn't seem to be a point. I could cut and paste a thousand stuffed chicken wing recipes here, but why if they're not road tested? By all means post links.
Incidentally one of my favourite ever takeaway's was a local Thai place's stuffed wings, there's an art to their deboning, you will probably find recipes/methods on YouTube. Sadly the Thai place has long since gone.

Re: stuffed chicken wings
cherrytree mashed potatoes are eaten in may places around the world,
i seen Japanese recipes use mashed potatoes as stuffing in a dish.
wrapped in bacon as mock pork roast.
the mashed potato stuffed in wings is from Chinese source that has lots
as they called them western inspired recipes.
here are a list recipes so far from that source so far
1 russian borscht with beef
2. pizza toast
3. chicken cream stew
4. spice beef
5. egg spam noodles.
6. mashed potato stuffed fried chicken wings.

Amyw food is universal and the British are known for dishes that are wrapped
then battered and fried, scotch eggs is perfect example of the this.

Re: stuffed chicken wings
I never understand what people mean by Asian food
It’s a whole continent
Food I ate in Asian Turkey, China, Burma, Thailand and India was very different from one place to another
You do get mashed potato in Indian cooking, you get chops/cutlets in particular which are kind of croquettes with a filling
While Jamie may have made his own version of Scotch eggs using batter, the classic recipe was probably defined for Fortnum & Mason to put into picnic hampers, and is always finished with egg and breadcrumbs
Here’s the history, this company makes lovely Scotch eggs some traditional, some not

Re: stuffed chicken wings
I just lurve stuffed chicken wings - there's a Thai resto we go to over in Lewes that does the Best, with pork & prawn stuffing - I could seriously live on them... ooooof!... & usually order extra to take home!
I couldn't be faffing about doing them myself tho' especially with the size we can buy from the s/mkts - have you noticed how big the resto's wings are? they're more like buffalo wings - you just never see them that size in the shops.

War garden, will you please think about telling me about your take British dishes that you haven’t quite got right. Scotch eggs is a typical example. I like to read about your American dishes which are so different from our British ones .
