Well next time I'll use a dozen pieces of pewter instead of chopped parsley.

Garniture is an anagram for train urge. Or Turin rage, whatever that is.

Add parsley to the dumpling mixture and you have a garnish for the garnish ... do two garnishes constitute a garniture ...?
Re: Difference between garnish and garniture ?
Wargarden ... I was quoting Renee’s post and making a quip.
I’ve already posted on the difference between garnish and garniture. You were the one who wanted to know the difference between the two ....

Re: Difference between garnish and garniture ?
(Translation into English = Garnish).Terme de cuisine. Accessoires qui servent à l'assaisonnement ou à l'ornement.
My French is pretty poor after 40 years speaking Spanish, but the definition above seems pretty clear to me. It´s a garnish, so no way is it a dumpling. Dumplings add no significant flavour to anything. Herbs, or a sprinkling of spices, or a sprinkle of some wonderful spices, do.
Otherwise, your basic mirepoix, or sofrito, is a garniture. That´s not happening in my kitchen!

Sometimes the beef IS the dumpling...
