as for prize the chocolate recipe i post should do.
Or I could post 7 beef stew recipe that uses garniture to add to it's greatness.

The only garnish that I like with beef stew is dumplings,

Add parsley to the dumpling mixture and you have a garnish for the garnish ... do two garnishes constitute a garniture ...? ;)

(Translation into English = Garnish).
My French is pretty poor after 40 years speaking Spanish, but the definition above seems pretty clear to me. It´s a garnish, so no way is it a dumpling. Dumplings add no significant flavour to anything. Herbs, or a sprinkling of spices, or a sprinkle of some wonderful spices, do.
Otherwise, your basic mirepoix, or sofrito, is a garniture. That´s not happening in my kitchen!
