Dodgy YouTube Dishes
The presenter looks serious about this "Christmas Birthday Cake", but I'm putting this forward as one of the most unpleasant recipes on YouTube! There's not one point in the video where I thought "Oooh, I fancy that", even though I love cream and chocolate. Sugar overkill...
Anyone got any nasty YouTube recipes to flag up? I remember vaguely there being one featuring lots of octopus dishes with the legs still wriggling, that would be a contender.

Found this looking for wriggly octopus dish. Warning, don't watch if you're squeamish
I don't think I'll be able to stomach these as an ingredient again.

Too late! I saw it before I read your message! I did eat them once in Taipei. Our host hardly spoke any English so just described them as "hop-hop". They had been breaded and deep-fried.

Edd Kimber (in that You Tube video) was the first winner of Great British Bake Off. He’s made a very successful career out of baking.

I thought it was all delivered in a "serious" manner, that explains it!

I have eaten frogs legs but only in the Bresse region where they are raised properly for food and treated humanely. I wouldn't deam of eating imported asian ones. The treatment of which is unspeakable.
However the fact is that M just couldn't resist the temptation of making one do the can can to amuse the children. I told him I wasn;t going to wash the shirt he ruined with garlic and butter.
ps that cake is truly

Ed Kimber is usually ok, but admittedly that cake (more of a sugar and dairy fat bombe surprise) is not to my taste
I associate dancing frog’s legs more with the physiology lab at college, where they were attached to a battery to demonstrate Galvanism - passing an electric current through the leg makes the muscle twitches. This (Galvani) was the demonstration that inspired the use of lightning to quicken the monster in Frankenstein.
I tried them once, was unimpressed. Saw a Luc Nguyen film once where they caught frogs in a rice paddy and barbecued them for lunch. I think that and the frog eating in the Belleville Rendezvous movie have probably completely put me off.
