Re: Cooking plain rice
Rice had always been my nemesis, until I used my electric pressure king pro. Now its fool proof.
Equal quantities of water and rice, cooked on the rice setting for 3 mins, pressure left to reduce naturally without releasing valve as to let the rice steam.
Finish your meal prep, after 15/20 mins or so. Perfect fluffy rice.
Oh and soak the rice well in 2 lots of water prior, and a little knob of butter makes it delicious.

Re: Cooking plain rice
I once went to a dinner party in California. The side dishes included fresh sweet corn and plain brown rice. A butter dish was passed round and all the Brits buttered their corn, and the Californians buttered their rice.
