I have a feeling that I might like it Pampy but not mixed together. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

We had avocado on Marmite toast at the weekend. Be tempted, it’s worth it!

Could be, Sue. It looks photoshopped nevertheless.

At the studio yesterday, 3 ladies confirmed that marmite, spread with peanut butter on top, is absolutely delicious.
I haven't tried it yet, but have got the crackers, have got the marmite, and have got the peanut butter .......................... :tongueout

Try it Gill. Having disliked it at first I tried again using a salt free, organic coarsely chopped peanut butter with a scraping of Marmite and it was great.

Hi Luca!
I tried it with the powdered peanut butter mixed up, and rather liked it.

(PS, sorry it looks like we won't be in London tomorrow, Tony's decided not to attend the day conference - next month for sure tho if you are around).

Sorry Gill. Missed this. You bet! I'm able to travel now though and may be abroad on business. Send me date and let's see if we can make a plan!

Marmite to me is a very comforting thing. Hot well toasted sourdough, lots of good butter and enough Marmite...but not too much. I've eaten quite a bit recently!

One thing I forgot about is a magazine recipe years ago but still make, i.e. using Marmite as a flavouring and binder for herby onion stuffing to heap onto mushrooms, preferably big flat ones, like mini gratins, with a smattering of melted cheese to finish. Very tasty.

Luca, good to hear you're almost mended; the weeds won't be quite as happy for you as we are ;)

I made the Marmite palmiers Joan. As I expected, they disappeared in a flash. The youngest granddaughters age 6 were particularly partial. Thank you.

Glad she liked them Cherrytree. My GCs all love them, though they are rather older!

I cooked marmite roast potatoes last night - I'd forgotten how good they were - with tandoori chicken breasts & chickpea salad a nice little fusion! :thumbsup
