Re: How often do you eat out?
I did. Frederick Street.
What a coincidence.
The Saudi Prince sounds like a charmer. I taught a Japanese chap who'd never tasted guinness before. Now then, he could drink spirits.
He had one half of guinness at lunchtime, and had to be taken in a taxi back to his hotel.
I've seen this sort of thing since when working at Banks in the City, the ability to drink spirits.
But not ale.

Re: How often do you eat out?
I wish I'd thought of that. That's excellent.
You're not Scottish are you Clive?
My next eat out looks as though it will be end of November, when Tony is at a conference for 2 days.
We shall go out in the evenings.
Then Paris in December.
We shall be visiting Belgian Endive if anyone would like to give her a message.
I'd know she'd love to hear from you all.

Right you are, Lushers.
I always do when you mention her to me in messages. I shall let her know she's fondly missed.
She's doing well.
We have to find a place to eat in Paris for lunch. I was looking at Maison Pic? But it may be a bit beyond our budget (Joan).
Especially as I've been looking at how much we've been spending over the last 6mths, doing our tax !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gill. If the Paris branch of Maison Pic is like the Valence one they do a much more affordable lunch time menu and if they too have a bistro then you could try that.
Please give Eliza my regards. I seem to remember she lives somewhere near the Marais? There are several good small places round there. One of my favourite places is the restaurant at the Musee D'Orsay. The sheer elegance of the place is the epitome of Paris.

That's a great couple of suggestions. They're "friends" of the Orsay.
I know the blue train is supposed to be fabbo. But it's not conveniently located.
Fine for us, but a bit too far out of the way for them.
I shall pass on your best wishes too, Joan.

I haven't been in contact for quite some time Gill, because I lost email addresses. I'll have a look on Facebook.

Nah, Gill, the only Scottish in me is my undying love for smoked salmon and single malt whisky!

I certainly shall do that, Sue.
She will be so pleased to hear from everyone.
Like my husband, Clive. Brung up, in the medway towns.
