Bulgur is made into pilaf, a version of which is kisir which requires tomato paste

the lighter form of babaganoush (without tahini), melitzanosalata made with (aubergines, of course), olive oil, lemon juice, garlic , salt and a little pepper.

the only thing i can think of to extract from a victoria sponge is vanilla.
