Ok, back to carrots

I’ll be kinder this time carrots pair well with orange in a North African salad, a carrot cake or the carrot & orange baby food the French are obsessed with

Reminded of this by the Mont Blanc discussion, from the same set of Cordon Bleu Cookbooks

I don't think Mandarins are oranges ChinchillaLady. Please feel free to dispute :D

So as I had this ready and I love it hugely:

Oranges - as in Remojon which has in addition to oranges, onion, olives, and bacalau or salted cod and other stuff

Well I can't go back to carrots - again! Oops, sorry about that. Moving on...

Ginger and garlic as the starter combo for Indian dishes.

Moving on again in Spanish mode - Sopa de Ajo or garlic soup that also has red peppers, bread and smoked paprika in it.

The forum comprises saintly people so has devised a way out of jams, which is that the next poster will, from sheer courtesy, attempt to include both the official domino and the usurper. Sometimes it's easier than others ;) but this one should be easy.

I'll go with swordfish which will happily take an oily rub or wiped off marinade of coriander seed and smoked paprika.

If the forum is happy, please do your worst with swordfish.

Genius. That sounds heavenly, Jeral and I will seek out swordfish and offer apologes to ChinchillaLady for challenging mandarins and out of an abundance of courtesy will not have another food domino turn until later. :D

I missed your salt cod, ZeroCook that somehow appeared in between. Oops. Dominoes are like buses, i.e. none for ages then three come at once. Not to worry.

It means the current domino is salt cod or swordfish (or both) - next poster's choice :)

Salt cod should go with ackee, but as I know of nothing else ackee goes with I'll spare you, and go for aioli

PS I think mandarins are oranges - every can describes them as "mandarin oranges"

Tabbouleh with lots of mint and parsley
