Yes, please do Lush! I can imagine a liquorice stick (wood) crushed and then soaked in water, but maybe not. Pontefract cakes wouldn't work, of course, because they contain sugar! :thumbsdown

Now then :D a while back (years) I bought a pack of liquorice powder for something ( forgotten) specific, & as you do - it was left languishing in the back of the cupboard - until I found this dressing...….

For the liquorice dressing...….
1 tbsp cooking juices
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp fine liquorice powder, plus a pinch to serve
fresh tarragon leaves, to garnish
salt and freshly ground black pepper

This was for octopus, but any cooking juices would do, or even omit - I add etc. as I go along - but a good way of using up that liquorice powder, which, tbh, I was rather scared of....... but I have to say it is especially good vinaigrette over beetroot & fennel - & at last a use for that liquorice....!

Until another............................

Well, I've not tried it but given that Lush recommends it, and I love it, I'm going to say Liquorice dressing with octopus

Lamb goes with many things and in many dishes - but a lot of them involve cumin
