can't stand the stuff myself but it's often (or used to be) the only option for vegetarians, in 'a parcel' or quiche - so pastry.

I love the smell of cumin with leeks sauteeing. Good start point for all sorts, e.g. black bean, mushroom, carrot, spud, tom etc as mixture for rice or pastry or for a veg curry.

We love leeks in a sort of Cock a leekie soup ... we make it with the REMAINS OF A ROAST CHICKEN.

Mayonnaise used instead of egg & flour to coat chicken breasts before rolling in panko breadcrumbs.

I use panko breadcrumbs when I made Scotch eggs with a soft set yolk. I bake them in the oven rather than deep fry & panko give a really crispy crunchy outer.
