I add in a piece of fresh turmeric with the spice paste in James Oseland's very aromatic Javanese chicken curry or Opor Ayam which also uses lemongrass

Salted lemons for tagines
Re: "Food Pairings Dominoes"
Lamb tagine with apricots.
This used to be a favourite years ago when I ate meat, so then it was tinned apricots and before fancy spices.

Pear & walnut salad with rocket & blue cheese & an orange dressing.
Re: "Food Pairings Dominoes"
equal weights of dark chocolate and double cream, melted together, then chilled to make a rather rich pudding (only small amounts needed - and they freeze well in ramekins).

'Tis the weather for a tartiflette made with double cream (oh yesssss) & reblochon...........
Re: "Food Pairings Dominoes"
Slice lengthwise into a crusty BAGUETTE and ‘spread’ the inside surfaces with jammy fig preserve then fill with slices of Reblochon ... cut into generous portions, place on a baking tray and put into hot oven until warmed through and cheese is soft and gooey

That sounds very good - I'll certainly be giving that a try soon.
Baguette sliced up for a Bruschetta & swiped with a goodly amount of ( strong) garlic olive oil & topped with cooked down tomato with basil & melted blue cheese.
