Suffs I haven't got a recipe it's just something I do. Same as any usd cake but I use quarted pears and put a few leaves of rosemary between the pears.

my mother used to make a rather awful, sweet, macaroni milk pudding - yeuk!. i think she boiled the macaroni in water before putting in the milk and heaps of sugar.

interesting, the rice and peas i've had, made by jamaicans, was gunga (pigeon) peas, rice and coconut, with a bit of thyme and scotch bonnet, maybe a few other flavours - but never tomato paste - maybe a bahamian version?

I've never seen rice and peas with tomato either. And the times I've eaten it, it's been made with red kidney beans, not peas.
