Yorkshire’s? OH’s department, but our Yorkshire family would love yours Suffs.

I reckon Suffs is setting up a challenge to rival Aunt Bessie given there's a 99% chance she'd win it, with the strapline "Mmm. Suffolk Yorkshire Puds - how Yorkshire Puds should be".

Just a quick update as promised in "Bargain Basement". The bleach tablets arrived and are not individually wrapped. The bottle/tub is 4"/10cm up to the neck but is only half full for some reason as no doubt it has the tablets it says it has.

I couldn't find any in my local Tesco this morning but I did find Harpic Power Plus tablets to remove limescale. I hadn't seen them before.

I find them very good, Pat. They remove the scale from below the waterline - helped greatly if you can leave a good while and give a good scrub with brush or whatever before you flush it away.

After I had my eye op I realised that although I’d been cleaning my toilet there was a ring of sparkling white but quite heavy lime scale about an inch below the rim

Two quick scrubs with Ecover limescale spray got rid of it

The Harpic tablets have been around for years, I’ve used them on old toilets with great success

The shops in Norwich always used to stock up with those Harpic tablets at the end of the Uni year ... much used by student let landlords. ;)

I used to be part of the committee that ran a housing cooperative, we used to allow members to have short term cheap tenancies in properties we’d bought to convert.

Harpic tablets essential, as the scale tended to be rust streaked - but once you got rid of it the toilet was usually fine

As a total change from cleaning, and for amusement only, has anyone seen the advert for Hey Car, used car dealer, where an actor in a car mouths to a rap of "I gotta a good feelin'"?

It intrigued me as to what the words are, so I found them (below) and the original rapper singing them. If you can sing or even mouth the words in time, you're a better man that I!

Yes, I quite like that advert Jeral ... unusually for me ... I have a pretty low tolerance level for tv adverts.

Talking of adverts I wonder if Aero and Sakkarin have seen the latest Asda one with a manic bloke and a few kids jumping around excitedly about prices.

It’s the local Asda at North Watford which is enormous. I get quite excited watching it . . .

I saw that advert PP and did wonder if it was the Asda in North Watford. I haven't been there since I retired from work - it being in the vicinity. ;) :thumbsup

I have seen the advert, and after a couple of views, I realised it must be the Watford one. I've seen the actor in something else, but I can't place him. Possibly another advert?

Yes. I think he’s probably in lots of things - I thought I saw him in a trailer on BBC this afternoon.

Just to prove that I am unobservant, I don't recall seeing either advert (probably because I watch more on catch up than the scheduled times and zoom past the ads).

It was on yesterday’s cricket quite a lot EM. I never zoom by live cricket. . . . . .
