Nothing happening here for VE day... 'He' is emptying the edges of the flower borders of straying grass and earth that slid down over time and I am training some clematis up into the silver birch tree so that it can be seen from the house. It is presently covering the 'cat' cage but needs extra help to make it up into the tree.

There seems to be the relevant VE day TV coverage with films of the era and subject matter to boot. May watch 'Landgirls" again later.

Have good celebrations everyone, I will be raising a glass of fizzy water to my Dad later :wino

You would be surprised Renee ;) I work up just as much of a sweat doing both  Fitsteps is just bit more structured and technical :limbobanana

Ha, it is either me or things are jumping about a bit on the site today. I seem to have one and a half posts. Lol. Perhaps it’s the celebrations. :clap

On the upside, I was well enough to have a proper bath this morning rather than all I could manage yesterday was a strip wash or what my dear nan called a lick and a promise. It is all so rare you hear those lovely expressions these days.

I am definitely on a winner this morning as I was woefully behind with the business accounts and polishing my halo they are now bang up to date.
I did scare myself though as the computer wouldn’t fire up but then I remembered I had to reboot it due to a power cut we had the other night.

Friend is coming round for 3pm to raise a glass. :wino

Stay safe. :thumbsup

Are we all looking at the same board?
I can see all the avatars, have picture of what looks like a pile of washing up in the picture under the search bar and have seen most uploaded photos the right way up. All on my android phone and laptop.

Everything looks fine to me too - am using an ancient pc with windows 7 premium, SP2.
Just checked on my Android (version 9) phone - Renee's avatar isn't showing.

Renee's avatar is fine on the mac, but doesn't show on the iPad. Strange.

For those who do Zoom chats, do you find it odd seeing yourself on screen when talking to others.?

I have done that before and am actively avoiding Zoom! GD's mum has been doing impromptu video calls, sometimes before I've got up properly, that's bad enough!

Ive given up caring what I look like on Zoom calls. So have most of my colleagues

The photo on the side is Joan, Sakkarin added it after she died.

I can see Renee’s avatar too, not had a problem with that. I’m normally on my iPad but sometimes use my work laptop.

I can only see the photo of Joan on my phone, not when I'm on the pc.

Thanks Patsy! From what you say I would really enjoy it. I'll look it up. I wish we had something like that at the gym. There are plenty of Pilates and Yoga classes, but I want something that raises the heart rate that's not too frenzied such as Legs, Bums and Tums. They leave the class with red faces and sweating!

I see a lady too - on the left hand side, wearing a striped top ...but I think it's an early picture of Joan isn't it ?

Ah, I see others have answered Zosh's query ....

Renee....you should find details of your nearest Fitsteps class by googling.. ;) But I too leave the class red faced and sweating ... well not too red faced ;)

 I had the pleasure of meeting dear Joan and can assure you I would know the difference! I get the same picture as the one that's at the very top middle of the board.

I used to go to Fitsteps. I need longer to pick up a routine than most and found that aspect too hard. It was fun if you got through that bit though.

I looked on YouTube for Fitsteps and I see that some of the steps are very similar to what I do in the Tuesday morning dance class at the gym.
