I'm sure people will buy it. There are many folk who for one reason or another buy solely on price. I'm sure other people will buy some wonderful US produce as well.

Waitrose stated early that their meat supplies will continue to come from their trusted farmers, several other supermarkets later (quite a lot later) published similar commitments.

There are other troubling elements, 'High Fructose Corn Syrup' eg.

Well that´s what we hope, as dedicated foodies.
Unfortunately, Mr & Mrs Dogsbody probably don´t give a monkeys as to where there meat comes from, how it´s treated, or whether it´s ethically murdered or not. They only care about the price.
Sad.but true

She was very contrite on Twitter about the finger licking. And no, I didn’t think she was pissed. She’s not known as a drinker. Could have been nerves.

Lushy...

I really gotta check this out

Gilly

Thanks for the comment. I think all the years at the store had something to do with that. I took food from a different perspective. Being able to access shows and recipes from Gordo and the king of stylee and Delia and nigella and hfw and Nigel slater and Mary berry along with others had an impact too. Their recipes as well.

Exploring China with ken and ching

Bingeing on the three episodes so far. I will say the Peking duck looked amazing in epi 1

Was on bbc2. I suspect iPlayer and on the download circuit.

A final thought...to me it seems like the 45 min shows don't get the same promotional push like the 30 or 60 min ones do.

The China series is very good, it got a lot of publicity here when it was first shown on BBC 2 in 2012 as both Ken and Ching are popular here, it is showing again on Food Network here, I caught an episode the other day

I'd assume the BBC have made their money back by now :)
